As one smart person ironically remarked: "Greed and laziness work wonders."
Having lived in Italy for some time now, my whole life is centred around my home and its surroundings. There are a lot of things that bother me all the time. My design gut is always looking for something to improve and to change. Therefore, frequent trips to different vintage stores, which I jokingly call "Stolen goods for sale", in search of all kinds of lamps, small things and furniture have become my weekly routine. But the soul asks for inspiration for new ideas in work and in life. Italy, in my opinion, is the most beautiful country on this planet. Every city, every village and every small town has its own history, traditions, some kind of architectural masterpiece, of different calibers, styles and eras. So as a person who was born in Moscow and lived there for most of my life, I was inspired to start writing about those masterpieces of architecture that I have already seen and that are yet to be seen during my life here.To be honest, the emotions that I experience while living here are so strong that sometimes it seems to me that I was attached to this land in past lives. Everything inspires - from works of art to architecture, from traditions to the culinary specifics of the regions, people, nature, landscapes. Sometimes a shiver comes from all this diversity and beauty. Back to the question of greed and laziness. So, when I went to the FAI website - Fondo per l'ambiente italiano, I saw that by buying their card for 39 euros, one can visit over thirty different cultural heritage sites, among which was my old dream - Villa Balbianello. With no hesitation, I bought a card and booked my visit. And at the same time I came up with the idea to write and photograph everything that I visit.

Живя в Италии уже некоторое время, вся моя жизнь сосредоточена вокруг моего дома и его окрестностей. Находится куча дел, которые все время не дают покоя. Мое дизайн-нутро вечно хочет что-то улучшить и изменить. Поэтому частые поездки по разным магазинам винтажа, которые я в шутку называю скупками краденого, в поисках всевозможных светильников, мелочей и мебели стали для меня уже привычными. Но душа просит вдохновения для новых идей в работе и жизни. Италия, по моему мнению, самая красивая страна на этой планете. В каждом городе, в каждой деревне и в каждом поселке есть своя история, традиции, какой-то архитектурный шедевр, разных калибров, временных периодов и эпох. Вот и меня, человека родившегося в Москве и большую часть жизни там прожившего накрыло вдохновением начать писать о тех шедеврах архитектуры которые я уже увидел и которые еще предстоит увидеть. Признаюсь честно, те эмоции, которые я испытываю, живя здесь, настолько сильны, что иногда мне кажется, что я был привязан к этой земле в прошлых жизнях. Все: от произведений искусства до архитектуры, от традиций до кулинарной специфики регионов, люди, природа, пейзажи. Иногда дрожь пробирает от всего этого разнообразия и красоты. Вернусь немного к вопросу жадности и лени. Так вот зайдя на сайт FAI - fondo per l'ambiente italiano я увидел, что купив их карточку за 39 евро можно посетить аж тридцать семь различных объектов культурного наследия, среди которых была моя давняя мечта - Villa Balbianello. Не долго думая, я купил карточку и забронировал свой визит. А заодно пришла в голову идея писать и фотографировать все, что я буду посещать.
